Bratislava, Slovak Republic, Insol Europe Eastern European Conference 2013
While Wyn River Limited has Central and South East Europe, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia and Africa as our target market, we have connections with a number of similar organisations with full coverage across the globe. This improves our origination and delivery resources across our three core specialist advisory areas of export growth, project and corporate finance and finally, business improvement and restructuring. We also have Wyn River associates and affiliated firms with sector and local knowledge and investor access placed strategically in Western Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
One such link is our co-operation agreement with one of the leading German Insolvency firms, hww wienberg wilhelm. Nigel Davies of Wyn River is the insolvency cooperation HWW associate member for Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, and Turkey. The HWW cooperation partners are a group of insolvency, restructuring and forensic practitioners around the world who share the same standards and values and who aim to work together on international assignments. This arrangement amongst uniquely qualified individuals ensures that its members have the flexibility to be able to select the right people for the job anywhere in the world. The HWW network stretches from Argentina and the US, through Western Europe, Africa and Russia, into China and Australia. This gives Wyn River access to a wide pool of active financial and strategic investors. The skills of Germany's restructuring experts, working alongside Wyn River's local teams, are also available for investors who want advice on how best to buy cross-border assets from liquidators and administators.
Wyn River Limited has an excellent professional relationship with Insol Europe, a broad church of insolvency and restructuring practitioners, advisers, regulators and other stakeholders such as banks and investors. Several Wyn River associates have been active delegates and speakers at Insol Europe events over the past 10 years. Nigel Davies sits on the Insol Europe Eastern Europe committee as well as the Turnaround Wing and the Lender Group committee. He was co-opted as a member of Insol Europe's Council in 2015. Nigel and Signe Viimsalu (a former Wyn River associate) acted as technical co-chairs together for the 2011 Insol Europe Eastern Europe conference held in Tallinn, Estonia. Nigel was technical co-chair for Insol Europe’s 2012 Eastern Europe conference in Poznan, Poland, the Czech conference held in Prague on 11 April 2014 and the Romanian conference in 2016, held in Cluj. Nigel Davies has also been a member of the UK chapter of the Turnaround Management Association for many years. Both Insol Europe and TMA Europe offer excellent connections for our clients across a range of branded and boutique service providers as well as access to senior representatives of International Financial Institutions, Government Ministries, Central Banks and commercial banks.
Wyn River Limited has associates and affiliated firms with relevant experience, but does not lead projects, in the financial services or real estate sectors. We have good relationships with several international specialist groups and can partner with them when necessary. Similar teaming arrangements exists for Merger and Acquisition, Valuation, Trade Advice, Due Diligence, Forensic, Tax, Audit and other similar services where Wyn River Limited associates have built excellent personal relationships with the major firms and local boutique advisory firms over the past 30 years.
Other important international connections include the British Croatian Business Club. Nigel Davies sits on the steering committee and is Head of the Infrastructure focus group at the British Croatian Business Club. This gives both Wyn River and BCBC members good connections between the UK, Croatia and neighbouring countries as well as links to UK Trade and Investment teams and other Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe (COBCOE) members.
